John Toivonen, Esq.

John W. Toivonen believes the more you know, the better off you’ll be as you go through your case. He makes sure his clients know what to expect, what options they have to choose from, and what mistakes to avoid as their case continues. John understands how much is at stake for each of our clients and will advocate in and out of court for their best possible outcome. He’s not one to go into a hearing or trial unprepared.

John works tirelessly for each and every client that he represents. Learning the meaning of hard work early on in life and the importance of getting along with everyone, no matter their deficiencies or disabilities. He was raised to build relationships with people from all walks of life, which has helped him immensely in his legal career.

John has over 12 years of experience representing clients in matters that include municipal litigation, business litigation, personal injury, and criminal defense. He has served as lead counsel on numerous cases involving business entities. In criminal cases he represents clients on a wide range of charges, but focuses on cases where the charges involve serious felonies, and life offenses.

John’s experience in the courtroom enables him to get results, and his reputation as a formidable litigator often results in favorable settlement agreements for his clients.

Michael McCue

Michael McCue is dedicated to helping his clients reach their goals. His broad background provides helps him understand his clients and their unique needs which allows him to find real-world solutions for the situation they may find themselves in.

Prior to attending law school, Michael spent several years in municipal management including time as a city manager. He has experience in Tax Increment Financing Authorities (TIF) and Local Development Finance Authorities (LDFA) as economic development and redevelopment tools.

After graduating law school, Michael held two clerkships in circuit court.

Michael is active in the community and has coached youth and high school sports for over 20 years. In addition, he has been a tireless advocate for those with mental illness and has promoted the need for programs to help lawyers with mental health concerns.

Michael has served as the vice president of the Catholic Lawyers’ Guild of the Diocese of Lansing and has served on the State Bar of Michigan’s Lawyers and Judges Assistance Committee. In addition, Michael was a volunteer in the Coast Guard Auxiliary where he served as flotilla commander eventually rising to district staff officer for public affairs for the upper Great Lakes region.
